The owners of the Court Jester Restaurants, having been touched by the needs of children with autism and their parents and siblings, have decided to give back to our community in a wonderful way.  For many families of children with autism, dining out can be a challenging experience at best.  Behaviors, special diets, and other concerns often make it a very stressful time.  With all this in mind, The Court Jester has come up with a very special opportunity.

 On Tuesday, August 19^th, The Court Jester in Aberdeen will close to the general public from 5:00  - 8:00 pm.  During those hours the restaurant will be open only to families of children with autism.  To assure a stress-free environment, the following accommodations will be made:

• All employees for the evening have volunteered to be there

• There will be a separate private room available for anyone who needs it

• A menu for special diets is being worked on, but parents are invited to bring food to accommodate their individual child’s needs

• All children with autism and children under 12 will eat FREE (beverage not included)

• Volunteers from local organizations such as POAC and New Horizons in Autism will be on hand to help out

The great folks at Court Jester are hoping to make this a monthly event.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!
